Artistic purpose

But what does my art mean, beyond its first visual aspect which is the representation in relief of landscapes, real or imaginary, natural or inhabited, static or animated ?
My purpose is, I understand it now, a reflexion about the world, through its primary reality which is nature, this wonderful masterpiece of priceless value that most of us do not see.
By extension, of course it is about human nature, the obsessed questions about mankind's origins and future, through the artistic suggestion of our often absurd lives and beautiful or lethal utopia.
Finally, it is certainly also about divine creation, whose deep heritage and its implications are too frequently negated, misunderstood and misled.
As we are negligents, we do not realise the deadly effect of our actions. Excessively proud, we think we can reign without control. Oblivious, we remain deaf and blind to the Essence of life.

I conceive my role as an artist to have the capacity, by the evocative power of my creations, to call to mind my human brothers. My ambition is that when in presence or in interaction with my art, people can reconnect with the inner part of self, and once more see the beauty of nature and understand the importance of love and the divine. And to realise that this natural beauty and this human existence are terribly precarious and fragile.

The natural world is sometimes harsh but always harmonious. It is not the case of the human world, more generally voracious and destructive. Yet we possess in ourselves endless intelligence, love and kindness. Deep inside, we know what should be the necessary actions to save the world. Now more than ever, manking should look for a harmonious destiny, placing love in the heart of human relations and reconciling ourselves with nature and the divine.

My fight as an artist will be to endeavour, through my art, the reemergence of the deep values of mankind to enable the construction of a better world.
